remember way back last summer when i talked about the think dirty inc. app and shared my families journey to a chemical free home? well, we're still on track and have learned a lot over the last year. one of the things that was important to us was finding diapers + wipes that were safe, non toxic and chemical free. the absolute best choice would have been cloth diapers, which we discussed and looked in to, but with renovations and life, we felt overwhelmed and decided to try them out with our next little babe.
so we searched endlessly on the best possible disposable diaper + wipe duo to use and seventh generation is hands down the best out there. from an early start, elias has had sensitive skin. last summer he kept a diaper rash and had the hardest time keeping it away. when we switched over to seventh generation's diapers + wipes, the rash cleared up and hasn't been back since. that right there, is worth every penny to me. mamas, you know what i mean. when you find something that works, you buy it over and over.
now i will be honest and say that we had a difficult time controlling diaper blowouts when using seventh generation over other brands, but once elias switched over to solids, that problem went away. the wipes are my absolute favorite and if i had to choose which one to use for the rest of my baby days, (seventh gen diapers or wipes), it would absolutely be their wipes. they're thick, durable, fragrance free AND we never use more than 1-2 wipes each diaper change, so one pack of wipes last a lot longer than other brands.
if you're wondering where you can find seventh generation diapers + wipes, check kroger, target, whole foods or amazon. i personally try to always buy from kroger, because their prices are the lowest (at least where i live anyway). when they go on sale, i stock up AND i keep my eye out for coupons on the kroger app to try and save even more. as a stay at home mama, i'm constantly searching for ways to save money while still using and supporting the brands we're passionate about. so far, i've been pretty successful and hope to be able to keep up with this as we add to our family.
what are some ways you save money on products your family love?
until next time,
